I am so excited to share my last-minute Lisbon trip with you. My husband and I decided to visit Lisbon for a pre-anniversary trip, and I am so glad we did! Being Brazilian, this was so special as I learned more about my roots.
First, check out my super comfy airport look for this 8-hour flight. We flew Tap from Miami. You can find travel packages on Expedia.

The Rooms:
Our hotel has spacious and stylish rooms with modern décor and amenities. Enjoy plush bedding, a well-equipped work desk, flat-screen TV, minibar, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Plus, our large windows provide breathtaking cityscape views for an unforgettable stay. Our balcony was huge and the view of the bridge was lovely.

Hyatt Regency Lisbon Breakfast:
The Hyatt Regency Lisboa serves a delicious breakfast with various options to suit various tastes and dietary needs. I love Portuguese food! It was so fresh and had so many options.
It is buffet style with many options, but you can also order fresh things like pancakes and omelets. The best part was that breakfast was included in our stay.
Overall, the Hyatt Regency Lisboa provides a luxurious retreat in the heart of Lisbon.
What to Pack For Lisbon
As you may have seen, I love to help women feel elegant and comfortable, so I packed it accordingly. First, the weather in Lisbon isn’t as hot as it typically is for this time of year, which was perfect.
We enjoyed the mid 70’s weather, where I could wear short sets and dresses while wearing a jeans jacket in the evening.
- Comfortable shoes for walking. I love my white Reebok sneakers and sandals
- Maxi Dresses that breathe comfortably. I took my white Amazon dress, Revolve Jeans dress, and my Revolve polka dot dress, which is so feminine and perfect for a European trip with puff shoulders.
- Short sets – I love these from Amazon
- Jeans and a jacket in case it’s chilly
- A stylish hat to protect the face from the sun
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Toiletry Bag

How to Get Around Lisbon
Lisbon is a very walkable city, but it is a very hilly city. Uber worked great for us, and we also used the Tuk Tuk when visiting Sintra. You can also take the famous yellow tram or use public transportation.
What to do in Lisbon for 2 Days
We began our stroll at the Belem neighborhood, where, unfortunately, the Jeronomio monastery was closed. It was still nice to walk around there. You can visit the Belem Tower as well as the monument.
We headed to try the famous Pasteis do Belem, where the original recipe originated. It was delicious, but I did prefer another place!
The following day, we met up with my cousin, who showed us some local hot spots. Our first stop was this lovely Rooftop bar called Goa. We had a yummy breakfast here.
Walking around the Rua Augusta was lovely, and sampling local cuisine like Lisbon Cod Cakes and more Pasteis de Belem at Mantegueria.
I loved wandering the streets and seeing cozy spots for food, and we also visited this special church, which still had the old walls up along with a new roof as lots of the churches had been destroyed by the fire.
Next up it was time for my cousin and husband to try the local cherry liquor called Ginginha, which was served in a chocolate cup.

Day Trip to Cascais
We loved visiting Cascais, it was super beautiful and clean and gave off Southern France vibes. We hired private transportation to get there and took about 45 minutes.
We loved exploring the shops and we ate The Pergola boutique hotel has a perfect lunch spot, but you do need to make reservations ahead of time.
I loved this area and totally recommend it. Next up, we took a 20-minute Uber and visited Sintra, which is a must-see! The Pena Palace is so beautiful and colorful. Sintra has a whole different vibe, more like a mountain vacation destination.
You also see a lot of local vendors and find unique things to shop for. We took the Tuk Tuk up but it was a bit noisy. I would have taken a private ride or Uber next time.

The Pena Palace is a must-see! You should keep your tickets with you at all times, as you will need to show it so many times! Also, you need to book these in advance, and they are strict with the time slots.
We also stopped at the Quinta da Regalaria, which was so green and pretty.
Overall, it was a beautiful day.
