Our 3-day vacation in Key West, FL
Two weeks ago my family and I went to Key West, Florida for a mini getaway. We live in Parkland, Florida, so it took us about 3:30 hours to drive there. The drive is absolutely beautiful, especially when you cross the bridge. There are plenty of beautiful spots for pictures and videos. My husband captured a video of me driving when we were crossing the bridge.
Where we stayed:
This was our second time at the Ocean Key Resort & Spa, and we just love it! This property is located right at the heart of Key West; on Duval street. It’s very clean, the staff are very professional and polite, the food is fantastic, and the view from our balcony is so beautiful!
My favorite part of the day was having my breakfast on our private balcony overlooking the blue waters.
Hot Tin Roof restaurant offers a waterfront dining experience, so if you are planning to have dinner there, I highly recommend to reserve a table right about sunset time, to experience a great sunset view!!
The pier also offers a great food option as well. We had lunch there and we were just amazed by the views of the blue water all around it!
Private boat experience:
We decided to take a private boat to hang out at the sand bars. Because we were not familiar with the location, we decided to take a private boat with a captain. The concierge team at the Ocean Key Resort helped us find a great boat and a very experienced captain. This day was so much fun! Abbie said it was one of the best trips of her life! hahaha, She played so much with the sand, and she could not believe we were surrounded by blue waters there. Check out the video and pictures below!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and if you have any questions please leave me a comment 🙂
